At 26 I found my desire to be a homemaker growing. This desire was not out of a pure enjoyment for dusting, mopping, and endless laundry, but rather a devotion to my family as a Christian wife and mother of two. I wanted to become a virtuous wife as described in Proverbs 31. I aspire to serve my family in a way the honors God.
I’d like to invite you to join the journey with me. Here you can find your guide to not only surviving motherhood, but thriving. Together we’ll discover the best housekeeping tips, nourishing recipes, and user-friendly products.
“Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.” Proverbs 31:10-13
MY APPROACH
I realized in order to build the life I had always dreamed of, by being the wife and mother I aspired to be, I had to first change my heart. When we first moved in to our apartment as newlyweds, I quickly realized how exhausting caring for a home was, as it was a first time on our own. Repetitive tasks and endless messes; not to mention the time spent brainstorming meals daily. How can you whole heartedly care for a home when you find all your daily tasks draining? The solution- I changed my heart. I started cooking and cleaning to first honor God. When you’re serving the Lord first, these “tasks” become energizing rather than draining.
In this blog we’ll first seek God, and his kingdom. Your purpose can and WILL be fulfilled through Him in your home.
